indonesiaflagU.S. citizens must have an Indonesia visa in order to gain entry to this mysterious and beautiful country. Indonesia is an archipelago and has over 17,500 islands located along the "Pacific Ring of Fire". Over 128 volcanoes make Indonesia one of the most volcanic countries on the planet.

A visa to Indonesia can be either a single entry or a multiple entry visa. If you plan on entering Indonesia once and staying no more than 60 days, apply for a single entry visa. Once that time is up, the visa expires. If you will be visiting Indonesia several times, a multiple entry visa is the right one for you. A multiple entry visa is valid for a full year and allows you to enter and exit as much as you like during that period. Be aware, however, that each visit may not exceed 60 days.

Indonesia visas have several categories, depending on the reason for your visit. A visitation visa covers tourist, business, social and research visits. Each of these share general visa requirements and each can be either a single-entry or multiple-entry visa.

TravelPassportVisaCenter.com is the fastest way to get a passport or visa, often in just 7 hours!

For single-entry visas, your passport must have a full blank page in it and must not expire within 6 months of your date of entry. Multiple-entry visas require a passport with a blank page and that is valid a minimum of one year from date of entry.

You'll need to submit a visa application form, in duplicate. This form can be downloaded from the Embassy of Indonesia website or picked up at your local Embassy Consulate office. You must also include two passport size photographs.

Tourist visa applicants must provide the original and a copy of their travel itinerary or other documentation that verifies the dates they'll be traveling. If you're working in the U.S., you will have to provide a letter that verifies your employment status. You must also show your financial independence by providing a copy of a recent bank statement or a letter from your bank saying you have sufficient funds. If you are planning to visit as a student, you must show a letter of intent from the school you'll be attending

The cost for a single-entry visa is currently $45.00. Multiple-entry visas cost $100.00.

Both of these fees must be paid by either a money order issued by the U.S. Postal Service, a company check payable to the Embassy of Indonesia (as in the case of a business visa), or cash. Do not send cash through the mail, however. If you wish to pay in cash, it's best to visit a local Indonesia Consular office to make payment. Personal checks are not accepted.

Get a visa for Indonesia the quick and easy way.

If you mail in your application, always include an Express Mail, self-addressed envelope. Be sure to include your original passport. Make copies of everything and send your application by a traceable method in case it becomes lost in the mail system.

Apply for your Indonesia visa well in advance of your travel date as the application process can take at least 2 weeks. Soon you'll be experiencing the many sights and sounds of this fascinating country.
