To enter the African country known as Kenya, all individuals must obtain a Kenya visa. You will not need a visa if you are a citizen of Kenya or a citizen of a Visa Waiver country. You can find this list of exemptions at the Embassy of Kenya website.
You need to be aware of the fact that even if you have a Kenyan visa and have met all the requirements, you can still be denied entry. The immigration officer at the entry port has the right to make the final decision if you can enter Kenya. If the officer believes you are a threat to the national interests of Kenya, even a valid visa will not get you into the country.
You must fill out the Kenyan visa application online. Once the form is complete, you can print it out and sign it; forms without a signature will be rejected. Note: Do not print out the blank application and fill it out by hand. The application form must be filled out online or your application for a Kenyan visa will be rejected.
If you are traveling to Kenya on business, you must follow a close set of guidelines. A Kenya business visa will grant you permission to attend seminars, classes or workshops. Authorization is required from the Director of Immigration Services in Nairobi if you intend to conduct temporary business in Kenya.
You must submit a valid passport with your application, it will be returned to you once the visa has been processed. Passport copies are not accepted.
A copy of the flight itinerary letter from your travel agency should also be included. This letter must be on the travel agency's company letterhead and confirms the booking.
Two passport-size photos are also required. Computer-generated pictures are not accepted.
Fees are payable by money order or cashier's check, and payable to: Embassy of the Republic of Kenya. It is a $25.00 fee for one-time entry to Kenya. For multiple entries, remit a payment for $50.00. You can get a single transit visa for a stay of up to twenty-four hours inside Kenya; the cost is $10.00. An expedited service is available for an additional $20.00 fee.
You must also complete additional forms if you intend to travel with your pets. Veterinary records are required as well as vaccination record.
Before mailing your application, make sure all documentation is neatly organized with photos stapled at the top left corner of the front page. Your itinerary and application forms should be together on top with the remaining documents behind.

A self-addressed stamped envelope with delivery confirmation is required with the application. Acceptable courier services include Express Mail, Priority Mail, FedEx, and Certified Mail. UPS and regular postage are not accepted.

Visas are valid for six months from the issue date. If accepted, your visa will be mailed within fourteen days from the date listed on the receipt.
