A visa application form available at the consulate must be filled in and submitted along with documents indicating financial support during your stay in Iceland, an itinerary and a purpose of travel notice. If the purpose of visiting Iceland is to visit family, then a proof of family ties document must be submitted. If the visit is for work or study, then a confirmation letter from the institute or company must go along with the application. Two passport photos must accompany the application packet, along with any proof of travel insurance.
Cost and processing times: The cost of application is US$50, and it takes about 5-7 working days to process an application. As with all other applications, be sure to apply for the visa early in order to prevent any delays.
