A passport and a visa Cambodia are both required for most travelers who wish to enjoy the natural beauty and cultural attractions to be found in this fascinating country. However, travelers from Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam, as well as Cambodians living overseas, do not need to apply for a Cambodian visa.
To apply for a visa Cambodia you should have the following: a passport valid for at least another four months, a recent 4x6” photograph of you, and money for the application fee. If you are planning to apply for a business or official visa you will need to gather additional documents beyond what is required for tourists.

There are three ways to obtain a Cambodia travel visa, which is good for 30 days. One way is to apply in person at your nearest Cambodian embassy or consulate. Another is to apply for a visa on arrival; you can do this at International Border Checkpoints and Phnom Penh International Airport or Siem Reap International Airport. The third way is to apply for an E-visa. To get an E-visa you need to fill out the Cambodia visa application online, upload a recent passport-size photo of yourself, and pay with a credit card. If you choose this last method, be sure to do it 3 days in advance since that is how long it should take to be approved. The E-visa is only for single-entry tourist visa applicants, not for business visas, and currently (as of 2010) not available to anyone from Afghanistan, Algeria, Arab Saudi, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Sudan.
The fee for a traveler’s visa is the same no matter which way you decide to apply. For a 30-day tourist visa, the fee is $20 (USD). For a business visa, the fee increases to $25. If your stay in Cambodia is going to be longer, you should plan to have your visa extended via the Immigration Department or National Police; you can do this once on a tourist visa and only for up to another 30 days. Multiple-entry business visas are available for longer periods, such as from three months to one year. It is important to note that if you stay past when your visa Cambodia expires there is a fine of $5 per day.
If you choose the E-visa, plan your trip to enter and exit Cambodia by way of Poipet (Banteay Meanchey), Cham Yeam (Koh Kong), Bavet (Svay Rieng), Phnom Penh International Airport, or Siem Reap International Airport,). In addition to your passport and visa Cambodia, remember to have enough money for your stay and your return trip because this is required in order to enter the country. There may be additional departure fees for air travel so contact the airline to determine in advance.
